We’re really looking forward to the two CCL events we have planned for 2025, not only because the topics are timely and important, but because we’re trying a different format this year. Rather than inviting a main speaker to address each topic, we’re going to run an ethics workshop—an opportunity to think and talk together how to respond to these challenging issues as Christians.
The CCL team, led by its Director Tony Payne, will bring a stack of research and resources to each event, including the perspectives of leading thinkers in the field, and key biblical and theological truths that should shape our thinking.
But we’ll also spend time hearing your stories and perspectives about the issue at hand, and provide an opportunity for you to think through what a Christian approach to the issue means for your personally.
It’s a new way of doing what we’re here for at CCL—to bring biblical ethics to everyday issues—and we’re excited about its potential. We hope you’ll join us for the adventure.
We have two ethics workshops planned for 2025:
- Neurodivergence and the Christian Life on Wednesday 7 May.
- Left Right Out: The strange position of the political Christian on Monday 27 October.
Both events are being held at Moore College in Newtown from 7:30–9:15pm followed by supper. These occasions will not be livestreamed due to the interactive nature of the event.
